ss13.live

Space Station 13 as /tg/station played it in 2017, rebuilt to run in a web browser: no BYOND, nothing to install.

Privacy

There are no accounts and no cookies. Singleplayer runs in your browser: its game files (about 90 MB, kept so the next visit starts faster), your settings and your singleplayer character stay there. In multiplayer your name and an optional secret make your tag (a tripcode). The secret is never stored, by your browser or the server: only the tag made from it. Without a secret, your browser keeps a random one of its own.

The server keeps a log of each round with player names, IP addresses and errors. What players say and type is not logged. Round logs are used for moderation and fixing bugs, are deleted after 7 days, and are not shared or sold. A banned name or address stays in the server's ban list until the ban is lifted. Your character setup is saved on the server under your name and tag (no address), so it is there next time.

The site is reached through Cloudflare, which handles the connection on the way in.

Licence and source code

The code is free software under the GNU AGPL v3, so you can get the full source of what this server runs: github.com/Greytide-inc/ss13.live. In the game, the Github button opens it too.

Sprites and sounds are under CC BY-SA 3.0 unless a file next to them says otherwise; tgui's client side is MIT.

Credits

The game, its sprites and its sounds are the work of the /tg/station 13 contributors and the Space Station 13 coders before them.
